Aaron Chen

Mr Yi (Aaron) Chen is a General Manager of MMG’s Kinsevere Operations in DR Congo. He holds a Master's degree in Mining Engineering and has nearly 20 years of experience in the international mining industry, having worked in China, Australia, and the DRC. He possesses extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience in areas such as international mining investment, development and construction, production operations, technology and innovations, corporate governance, safety and environment, and social responsibility.

His journey with DRC started since 2020, where he successfully led the delivery of the Kinsevere mine's Sulphide Expansion Project, including a cobalt plant with an annual output of 5,000 tonnes. He also oversaw the full implementation of the mine's first five-year (2021-2025) Cahier des Charges community programs.
