Richard Liang
Senior Engineer, Senior Economist, International Bussiness Engineer, Bachelor's Degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, MBA from Nankai University, EMBA from CEIBS, now works in Sunwoda Electronics Co., Ltd. as the Group Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer.
He entered the lithium-ion battery industry in 1999 and has 25 years of experience in the lithium industry. He has served as the Executive Vice President and COO of Tianjin Lishen Battery Company Limited, and as the Chairman and President of Sunwoda Power Technology Co., Ltd. Currently, he also serves as the vice president of the China Industrial Association of Power Sources, the vice president of the Electrical Equipment Branch of the China Battery Industry Association, the vice leader of the Lithium Battery Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Standardization Working Group, the director of the Executive Committee of the National Advanced Battery Material Industry Cluster Expert Committee, an expert for ISO/TC333/WG6, and the executive vice president of the Shenzhen Battery Industry Association.
Additionally, he has been appointed as an external doctoral/master's tutor at Central South University, a part-time professor at Wuhan University of Technology, a guest professor at Hubei University of Technology, an enterprise tutor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and an MBA alumni tutor at Nankai University.
He is currently a member of the editorial board of The Battery Industry. He has published more than ten papers in domestic and international journals and holds 19 valid patents, including six invention patents. He has participated in the formulation and revision of two national standards and two group standards, presided over and participated in numerous provincial, ministerial, and national scientific research projects.
He has been awarded the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress by China National Offshore Oil Corporation, the First Prize of China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Achievement, the First Prize for Science and Technology Progress in Electric Power, the Local-level Leading Talent of Shenzhen, and the Annual Person of China Battery Industry and so on.
